• We condense and expedite the process of consulting by combining it with training. The training environment provides a perfect setting to discuss the unique problems of the organization. If the planned training applies, we can discuss and practice the skills in the real context. If the training is off-target, we can adapt it on the spot to fit the issue. We have more than enough experience to make every training event into a highly-focused, effective organization development event on the spot. We also believe and have proven in many cases that the clients already know what problems need attention. They are right most of the time and no costly assessment is necessary, when a short confirming examination is sufficient. NO LENGTHY ASSESSMENT; TRUST THE CLIENT’S JUDGEMENT AND USE OUR EXPERTISE DURING THE TRAINING TO MAKE IT REAL.
• Our training is not off the shelf, although the shell of each course is. We design each event with a proven structure, objectives and materials. After all, if we are going to truly put our substantial experience to good use, we know what designs work well. Before the course, we ask for the managers’ ideas about key issues, and modify the course to fit the organization. We then approach the training as an analytical dialogue and problem-solving session so that the basic structure can be further modified based on what the participants tell us. The result is a highly customized training session that penetrates to any real issues within the organization and creates action plans that are unique to the organization. We also consult with management during and after the training to coordinate the focus of the “course” and recommend reinforcement of learning from the top levels. DON’T REINVENT THE WHEEL TO HAVE SUCCESSFUL TRAINING.
• We include Human Resources. Part of our continuing effort is to meet with HR before and after the training to discuss and suggest how to best reinforce the training. We also consider it important, whenever possible, to include a trainer or manager as our colleague in the training. We would like to leave at least one person within the organization who is qualified to repeat the training after we leave, and will gladly work with a nominee from inside during the training to make this happen. LEAVE A LEGACY OF REPEATABILITY.
• Our materials are copyrighted for the purpose of deterring our competitors, not our clients. You automatically receive a license to reproduce and use the materials we have introduced to your employees, most of it already in reproducible form, as long as you want within your organization. DON’T HOLD BACK RESOURCES FROM CLIENTS.
• Follow up is guaranteed. We are not in the business of creating an “expansion of scope” so that the organization has to pay more to follow up on the training. We complete an assignment by meeting with management to establish a plan for reinforcing the results of the combined training/organization development. We also guarantee we will follow up by contacting each participant after the course to answer questions, remind them of their commitments and encourage continued effort. THE WORK IS NOT COMPLETED UNTIL IT IS PERSONALLY, INDIVIDUALLY REINFORCED.
